At Casey’s, we believe that strong communities begin with strong schools. That’s why we’re proud to support local educators through our Cash for Classrooms initiative - an annual program that provides direct funding to classrooms across the heart of America.
Since launching Cash for Classrooms in 2020, we’ve awarded $6.2 million to schools in the communities we serve. These funds help teachers bring creative projects to life, purchase essential supplies, and create engaging learning environments that inspire students every day.
Whether it’s funding new band instruments, library remodels, or updating classroom technology, Cash for Classrooms is designed to meet the unique needs of each school.
This year, we’re excited to announce a special partnership with Coca-Cola to make an even greater impact. For each purchase of a participating Coca-Cola© product* from Casey’s General Stores between July 29 and September 8, The Coca-Cola Company will contribute $0.05 per purchase to the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines to support the Casey’s Charities Fund.*
It’s a simple way to give back - just grab your favorite Coca-Cola beverage and help support local schools and communities. Don’t forget to add your favorite pizza!

Each year, educators and school administrators are invited to apply for grants through our easy online application process in October. Applications are reviewed by a panel of Casey’s team members who are passionate about education.
Grants typically range from $3,000 up to $50,000 and are awarded based on impact, innovation, and alignment with our mission to support student success.
Here are a few ways Cash for Classrooms has made a difference just last year:
West Liberty Community School District in West Liberty, Iowa, received funding to build an all‑inclusive, sensory‑friendly playground designed to serve students of all abilities
USD 234 Eugene Ware Elementary School in Fort Scott, Kansas, received a grant to to install an inclusive playground that promotes accessible outdoor learning and play.
Marshall County High School in Benton, Kentucky, used their grant to add a weather-protective awning that improves accessibility for students using wheelchairs.
Waterford High School is Waterford, Wisconsin, purchased a new soccer shelter and benches to support student-athletes with outdoor activities.
These stories are a testament to the creativity and dedication of our educators—and we’re honored to be part of their journey.
