At Casey’s, we believe that strong communities begin with strong schools. That’s why we’re proud to support local educators through our Cash for Classrooms initiative - an annual program that provides direct funding to classrooms across the heart of America.
Since launching Cash for Classrooms in 2020, we’ve awarded nearly $5 million to schools in the communities we serve. These funds help teachers bring creative projects to life, purchase essential supplies, and create engaging learning environments that inspire students every day.
Whether it’s funding new band instruments, library remodels, or updating classroom technology, Cash for Classrooms is designed to meet the unique needs of each school.
This year, we’re excited to announce a special partnership with Coca-Cola to make an even greater impact. For each purchase of a participating Coca-Cola© product* from Casey’s General Stores between July 30 and September 2, The Coca-Cola Company will contribute $0.05 per purchase to the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines to support the Casey’s Charities Fund.*
It’s a simple way to give back - just grab your favorite Coca-Cola beverage and help support local schools and communities. Don’t forget to add your favorite pizza!

Each year, educators and school administrators are invited to apply for grants through our easy online application process in October. Applications are reviewed by a panel of Casey’s team members who are passionate about education.
Grants typically range from $3,000 up to $50,000 and are awarded based on impact, innovation, and alignment with our mission to support student success.
Here are just a few ways Cash for Classrooms has made a difference:
West Branch High School in West Branch, Iowa, received funding to purchase new band equipment, opening opportunities for all students to participate in band without socio-economic barriers.
Partin Elementary in Van Alstyne, Texas, located in a rural community, received a grant to purchase Thinkbooks for teachers and iPads for students to use in their technology center.
Leavenworth Senior High School in Leavenworth, Kansas, used their grant to update its culinary space, fostering a passion for culinary arts in a safe and sanitary environment.
Perryville Elementary in Perryville, Arkansas, expanded its playground with accessible features for students with disabilities, allowing all students to participate fully and enjoy structured physical activities.
These stories are a testament to the creativity and dedication of our educators—and we’re honored to be part of their journey.
