Casey's is Partnering with Feeding America this Spring

Updated on February 28, 2023 | March 1, 2023

Volunteers helping Feeding America to combat hunger in our communities

As our communities continue to feel the impact of inflation, the fight against hunger has become more important than ever.

Our neighbors need our help, and Casey’s is ready to once again join the fight against hunger. Building on our partnership with Feeding America®, and from the continued generosity of Casey’s guests, we can ensure that food is available and accessible to those in need.

Between March 1 and April 4, Casey’s guests can join the mission to help reach this year’s goal to provide 10 million meals to children and families across the heartland. Funds raised by Casey’s guests during the annual roundup at the register campaign will benefit 53 Feeding America® network food banks in 16 states where Casey’s operates.

Casey's and Feeding America Are on a Mission to End Hunger

Feeding America is the largest charity working to end hunger in the United States, partnering with food banks, food pantries, and local food programs, including within Casey’s 16-state operating footprint, to bring food to people in our communities faced with increasing food insecurity challenges.

Stories of Those Impacted By Our Guests' Generosity

As part of our ‘Here For Good’ mission to create stronger communities, Casey’s guests have helped provide millions of meals to their neighbors since 2020. The impacts are long-lasting. Read more about the stories of those impacted from the efforts by Feeding America and support from Casey’s guests.

Bridget and Kevin Littlefield

The Littlefields, a family of five from Minneapolis, experienced the harsh reality that many working families face: they were only one illness, accident, or unexpected hardship away from hunger.

After Kevin's father passed away, Bridget contracted COVID-19 and lost her job. But thanks to the Open Door Pantry, they still had food.

"You have that sense of relief that if you can’t do anything else, you can feed your family."

Laura Choate

As the director of the Church of the Open Arms food pantry in Oklahoma City, Laura Choate is on a mission to provide food and support for the LGBTQ community facing hunger and homelessness.

Having experienced homelessness herself, Laura knows firsthand what it feels like to be hungry, and she is determined to make a difference.

“It’s such a sense of satisfaction, serving the LGBTQ community, especially the youth, because I’ve been through it myself. This is my way of giving back.”

Walberto, Maria, and Esther

Minnesota residents Walberto, Maria, and their eight-year-old daughter Esther were faced with rising grocery and gas prices, so they decided to visit an Open Door Pantry truck parked outside of a suburban Minneapolis junior high school.

Inside the school cafeteria, they were pleasantly surprised to find a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, alongside meat and milk. After Maria and her family left with the pantry, they headed home with grateful hearts with food to feed their growing family.

Her daughter Esther was excited to bring the groceries home and make her favorite dish, pupusas.
