Casey’s annual Pizza Competition was nothing short of sizzling this year, but one innovative pizza stole the spotlight. Terrell Banks, Division Manager in the Indianapolis area, brought the heat with his fiery masterpiece: The Barn Burner Chicken Pizza.
From the very first bite, it was clear this pizza was barn to be wild. Terrell’s bold combination of flavors earned him well‑deserved bragging rights as the champion of pizza innovation.

Q: Where are you from? Where is your Casey's store located?
A: I'm from Indianapolis, IN born and raised. My home store is in Yorktown, IN.
Q: What inspired you to create the Barn Burner?
A: I can't take full credit for this pizza, it originated with the team at Store 3552 in Fort Loramie, Ohio. I just made a few modifications to further enhance the flavor profile.
Q: Which topping or ingredient do you think is the “star” of the Barn Burner?
A: Definitely the Sriracha. It brings a heat that keeps you coming back for another slice.
Q: How would you describe this pizza to our guests?
A: It's the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. If you love a little kick and enjoy BBQ, this pizza is for you.
Q: What do you think people will love about this pizza?
A: The flavor! Sriracha paired with BBQ sauce creates a unique "sweet heat" that really stands out.
